Stoichiometry by the Recipe Method:  SBR

This is the standard recipe to make 50 chocolate chip cookies (modified from Mike Offutt's Chemistry Songbag album.)

1 cup shortening 3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar 1 Tsp. vanilla
1/2 Tsp. water   2 eggs
2 cup flour 1 tbs. baking soda
1 tsp. salt 1 cup chopped nuts
2 cups chocolate chips

Mix all ingredients and bake in a 350 Oven for 8-12 minutes or until golden brown.
